Will Taylor Profile – BMX Team

Will Taylor from Norwich, UK. Will is 17 years old and has been on the team since 2013. He helped us build our indoor BMX/skate park in Norwich giving us input on ramp design and layout while testing the flow. He has also been doing demos up and down the country for Cool flo BMX demos with riders like Tom Justice and Martin Cooper, Will competed at NASS last year and was one of the youngest riders there aboard his custom made Limit BMX Frame, custom built in Norwich, UK. check them out http://www.limitcycles.com/

Team Profile – Brett Wheeler

Hi my name’s Brett wheeler I’m 26 years young and I’m from Bournemouth in Dorset. My whole life I have had 2 wheels between my legs, at 2 i was riding push bikes with no stabilisers and at 4 years old my dad bought me a Yamaha PW50.
For the next 20 years my life was Moto X doing all the major youth nationals then progressing to the adults where my racing improved winning 8 local championships, 1 south west champs and having a 7th in 2007 125 British champs and a 6th in 2008.
I then took up mountain bike dirt jumping in 2011 and progressed quickly picking up some good sponsors and in 2012 I was competing in major UK competitions. Unfortunately at round 1 I badly broke my leg and had to give up the dirt jumping. In October 2012 I was introduced to downhill mountain biking and really enjoyed it, it gave me the feelings I used to get when I raced motocross. There’s such a rush racing through trees fast and riding through rock gardens at high speed. At the end of 2012 I entered some races in the seniors with each race progressing with better positions.

October 2012 – Southern champs – 18th place
November 2012 – UK bike park series rd1 – 3rd place

My 2013 season has been going a lot better having raced 3 more races in the seniors,

Woodlands winter series rd 1 – 4th place with 40 riders in my class
Forest of dean – 8th place with 90 riders in my class
Woodlands winter series rd2 – 6th place with 36 riders in my class
Forest of dean rd 2 – 8th place with 90 riders in my class

I am really enjoying racing downhill and after 5 months of riding I’m happy with my progress and can hopefully keep on progressing to the front and will also be riding the first British national at Combe Syd in Devon in April.

I would like to thank some guys that have come aboard and will be supporting me in 2013

Scott Roberts 4X Charger

My name is Scott Roberts, I am 20 years old and live in a small town in Stourport. I learnt to ride a bike at the age of 4 and every day from then I just get more and more of a buzz from riding, I started of racing downhill at the age of 13 then after a few years made a transfer to race 4x a more adrenaline, action packed sport and I now race 4x at World, European and National level.

Charge clothing is proud to be supporting Bradley Pocock for another year, Brad is certainly one of the UK’s fastest and most stylish young riders. He is training in California at the moment getting the bikes dialed and his fitness up to scratch.

His career kicked off in 2008 and he got 2nd overall at the elite youth cup big wheels, and a 5th in the junior world mini cup. In 2009 he broke his leg, in 2010 he was leading all the championships, BYMX, red bull and MXY2, but sadly broke his leg again, and 2011 was a repeat!  Bradley is confident for 2012 with his new team, bike and a fresh start with MVR-D Honda and will race the MX2 Maxxis, Redbull Pro nationals, the Under 21s and some European EMX2 rounds.

Brad always rides with his heart and gives 110%,  so we hope this year he has more luck and finishes the season on a high.

Ben Le Cornu our rhino battling over the Channel.

Ben Le Cornu will be representing Charge again for 2012, here is a little bit about our rhino from the Channel Islands..

My name is Ben Le Cornu, I live in Jersey in the Channel Islands, I am 20 years old, I have been riding since I was 5 and I compete in Jersey, Guernsey and France.

In 2011 I competed mainly in the Brittany Regional Championship in France which is a 10 round series whilst also racing in the Jersey championship although missing some rounds due to being away. My season started off well in France qualifying within the top 15 at all races, I managed to achieve top 15 placings in the races whilst also achieving some top 10 placings. In the 7th round, I unfortunately over cleared a jump and broke my ankle which unfortunately ended my season in France.

In Jersey, i managed to attend 5 of the 10 rounds of the championship placing in the top 3 most events although I feel I could have placed higher had I not broken my ankle and lost fitness. I then went on to race the Jersey 2day Motocross event where riders come from France, England and the Channel Islands. I rode the adult MX2 class at this event event battling for the win in all races with a French rival and a Jersey rival. Unfortunately I came out in 2nd place by a small amount of points.

In 2012 I will be concentrating on trying to win the Jersey championship as I did in 2010 and also racing in events across France and England. I will be hoping to make it into the top 10 at all the events I enter overseas.
